Llano will be the site of the 4th annual Great State of Texas Gold Panning Championship. Located on the Llano River, at Badu Park on the Northwest side of the Llano River Bridge. Pan for gold in the river, compete for prizes or just have fun. There will also be flint Knappers making arrowheads, metal detector competition, gem and jewelry booths, food and music Saturday 9am. - 6pm. and Sunday from 10am. - 5pm. Friday the 26th will be set up day starting at 10am.
There will be a mixer on Friday for all participants at 6pm, bring your grill and prospecting stories for an evening to remember.
There are spaces available for gem and mineral, jewelry, flint Knappers and gold dealers. Knappers and panners who do not need table space are welcome without space rent. 12'x12' spaces for sales ONLY, are $25. Demonstrations with sales or display are $10 for all three days. Camping and RV spaces are also available. If you plan to demonstrate any craft, please let us know on the application form.
Inside spaces are now available but are limited. 10'x10' for $25. plus $5. for electric. Reserve your space today before they are sold out.
